My daughter is approaching 2 years old, and it feels like a monumental moment in our family as she transitions from babyhood to toddlerhood. However, as a mother of two young children, I can't help but feel like this stage is more challenging than I remember. Sleepless nights, tantrums, and food throwing seem to be the norm lately.
A friend recently pointed out to me that toddlerhood is like a mini adolescence, and I couldn't agree more. It's tough on both the child and the parent, testing our patience and creativity.
Despite the challenges, watching my little one navigate this stage with curiosity and wonder is truly a beautiful experience. It's a journey worth holding onto as they grow from baby to toddler to child.
Here are some great resources I have found to help my family navigate toddlerhood.
1 /
NOURISH YOURSELF
Don't forget to nourish yourself, this can mean many things to different people. But for me getting out in nature, fresh air and some vitamin D is the ultimate reset.
2 /
BREATH WORK
I strongly feel this is the fastest way to regulate yourself, so when the tantrums and testing patience happens, you and your nervous system are on the front foot.
3 /
'This too shall pass'
'This too shall pass' remember this phase will pass and one that will pass quicker than you think. Stay strong and you've got this!
